Emotional Intelligence
, Daniel Goleman's groundbreaking international bestseller, has transformed the way the world educates children, relates to family and friends and des business.

The Harvard Business Review called emotional intelligence (EI) "a revolutionary, paradigm-shattering idea" the kind of idea that does not just advance the conversation, but permanently alters it.

Dr. Goleman also is co-author of the 2002 release Primal Leadership: Learning to Lead with Emotional Intelligence - a Wall Street Journal, Business Week and New York Times business bestseller. Co-written with Richard Boyatzis and Annie McKee, Primal Leadership unveils new scientific evidence demonstrating that a leader's emotional competencies have an enormous impact on group performance and an organization's bottom line.

In 2002 Dr. Goleman was named one of the top 10 "business intellectuals" by the Accenture Institute for Strategic Change, which ranked the most influential thinkers and writers on business management topics.

In Destructive Emotions: How Can We Overcome Them? (Jan. 2003), Goleman provided illuminating commentary on a historic meeting between the Dalai Lama and a group of world-class scientists and philosophers. His other books include The Meditative Mind, The Creative Spirit and Vital Lies, Simple Truths.

Dr. Goleman reported on the brain and behavioral science for The New York Times for 12 years and was awarded the American Psychological Association's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Johnny Taylor is the President & CEO of RushmoreDrive.com, IAC's newly launched programming business unit serving the online needs of this country's Black community.  Prior to his current role, Mr. Taylor served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for IAC/InterActiveCorp, parent company to well known companies like Ticketmaster, LendingTree.com, Ask.com, Home Shopping Network and Match.com.

Before joining IAC, Mr. Taylor was a partner in the McGuireWoods law firm and president of that firm's consulting business; General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Compass Group USA; and has held several senior human resources and legal executive roles with Viacom subsidiaries, Blockbuster Entertainment and Paramount Pictures.

Mr. Taylor is the Immediate Past Chairman of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), one of the world's largest professional associations with 235,000+ members in 130 countries, and has served on the boards of the Urban Leagues of Broward County and Mecklenburg County, the University of Miami President's Council, the Drake University Board of Trustees, and the National YMCA Employee Benefits Plan.

Mr. Taylor received his Bachelor of Science in Communication, with general honors, from the University of Miami; Master of Arts in Mass Communication, with honors, from Drake University; and Doctor of Jurisprudence, with honors, from the Drake University Law School, where he served as Research Editor of the Drake Law Review and argued on the National Moot Court Team. He is a member of the Florida, Illinois and Washington, D.C. bars, and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
